When it comes to feeding, most people either choose flake or pellet foods over frozen or live foods for the sake of time and money. Sure, flakes and pellets are a good overall food choice for most fish in your aquarium- but it’s not always the best choice.

Flakes and pellets consist of dried fruits, veggies and meats that are processed repeatedly to form their shapes and sizes. Frozen or live foods are natural choices.

Don’t get me wrong- I use pellets for my home tanks. But a couple times a week, I will feed them some frozen krill or live bloodworms. Providing both kinds of food like that can really make a big difference in the overall health of your fish.

So the next time you come down to visit our store, check out our freezer by the register. It’s full of yummy foods for your fishes!
